Darren McAvoy
Associate Professor | USU Forestry Extension
Darren is a Forestry Extension Associate Professor at Utah State University and a Fellow of the Society of American Foresters. He is the inventor of Big Box biochar kilns. His background includes work as a consulting forester, Hotshot wildland firefighter, and avalanche forecaster. Darren holds a Master of Science in Communication from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Colorado State University.
