Cat is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environment and Society at Utah State University. She is a wildfire social scientist researching community adaptation across varied social and ecological contexts in the Western US. She has several foci under this topic, including public support or opposition for fuels treatments, evacuation planning and behavior, community recovery after wildfire, community experiences with post-fire flooding, policy design and implementation, and health impacts associated with wildfire.
